A stack of wooden and iron parts waiting for cleaning and puting back together. This is how pipe organ in Saint Nicholas Church in Ludgeřovice, a village close to Ostrava, looked a few months ago. These days the instument is used at concerts and liturgy again.
The church is the dominant point of the village. Roman catholic church together with parish and commercial buildings was built in German neo-Gothic style using red bricks in 1907. The church tower is 75 meters high. The building was damaged during World War Two and with parishioners‘ help it was reconstructed. This year it became a scene for International Music Festival Janacek May.
