Emil Antonoff looks much younger than his age - he is so energetic and has an inclination toward experiment and exploration. 44 years ago he had broadcast the first radio programme in Bulgarian language outside the country. Еmigrating about 50 years ago he had been one of the pioneers in ethnic broadcasting in the United States. Because of his heritage in a country that formerly prohibited freedom of speech, Mr. Antonoff especially realizes and appreciates what America has to offer. Now he owns and operates Palm Beach County's only remaining Talk station, where freedom of speech among hosts and callers is encouraged. His Internet radio Otzvuk (Echo) broadcasts only music from the Balkans. The freedom lover imposes "censorship" on the lyrics - even Bulgarian singers must sing in Bulgarian. He is convinced that the future belongs to the Internet radios which can satisfy various tastes all over the world. An interview with Emil Antonov taken by Svetlana Dicheva from the Bulgarian National Radio.
